Lithium battery winding machines fabricate battery cells by continuously winding positive/negative electrodes and separators into cell rolls. Equipped with electrode feeding units and winding needles, it realizes precise cell winding. The equipment is divided into cylindrical and prismatic winding models. Prismatic winding machines cover standalone automatic winding and integrated slitting-winding types, whose cells are commonly used in power, energy storage and consumer digital batteries.

Main Control Points and Working Principles of the Equipment

· Winding needle axis, unwinding axis, electrode feeding/cutter axis, pre-winding deviation correction axis

· Winding needle axis: Cam profile motion is implemented, with the allowable speed fluctuation of ±2%. For prismatic winding, stringent requirements apply to speed stability and current fluctuation during acceleration and deceleration phases, as well as the horizontal-to-right-angle turning segment of prismatic battery cells.

· Unwinding axis: Capable of switching between speed mode and torque mode; it mostly operates under speed mode, where stable velocity performance and servo bandwidth become key evaluation metrics.

· Tension fluctuation: ≤±3%

· Winding alignment tolerance: ±0.2 mm

· Electrode cutting positioning accuracy at a follow-cut speed of 1000 mm/min: ±0.5 mm

· Winding linear speed fluctuation: <±1%. The maximum winding linear speed reaches 2000 mm/s when fitted with a circular winding needle structure
